Users may either dial in or text in and leave a recorded message to provide
location information.
GPS users are also automatically located and their positions displayed on the map.
These systems allow the higher risk users to be
provided with a GPS telephone, or a GPS telephone may be pooled between several users and
used when the situation requires.

The display above shows a GPS user logged in together with
their information.
The shaded display shows a normal mobile location
(GSM), The shaded circle gives an approximate estimate of the GSM error circle.
The green LW shows the satellite fix.
Whilst a GSM (mobile) can be used the accuracy can
vary from around 100 metre to kilometres and therefore may not be considered
suitable for locating a lone worker without additional location information. See
below for examples of both GPS and GSM fixes.
The satellite location can be accurate to metres and therefore provides much a
much more accurate location method.
